Raymond was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran who had taught radio communications while serving; served in Burma China India Theatre, a supervisor of maintenance at Southern Hills in Portsmouth and a service manager for Montgomery Wards in Portsmouth.
Raymond is survived by 3 children, JoAnne (Tom) Etterling of El Paso, Tx and Barbara (Charles) Jones of Wheelersburg and Ray Cunningham, Jr. of Portsmouth as well as Carolyn (Richard) Spradlin of South Point and Sandra Spradlin of Minford; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg with graveside military rites presented by the James Irwin Post 622 American Legion of Minford and William A. Baker Post 363 American Legion in Lucasville.
