Maxine Turner, 84, of Baytown was born August 13, 1931, in Pelly and passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016, in Baytown surrounded by her loving family.
She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, where she was a member of the Brigadiers. Maxine was a faithful Prayer Warrior and Mighty Woman of God. She enjoyed the warmth and company of her wonderful lifetime group of friends known as the "Fun Bunch" for over 60 years and enjoyed camping, snow skiing, and family reunions but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy E. and Carma Carroll and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, 9 months, J.B. Turner, Jr.; sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sherry Turner and Wayne and Debbie Turner; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Robert Ranaldo; grandchildren and their spouses, who have all felt the influence of her love and faithful prayers, Kelli and Bobby Metzger, Misti and Mark Budro, Clint and Laura Burgess, David and Rachel Turner, Jason and Brenda Turner, Jennifer and Tanner Reagan, Nicole Gwinnup, Jennifer and Warren Graham, Rex and Leah Hiebert, and Scott and Monica Hiebert; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and sister-in-law, Darlene Collard.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday, June 1, 2016, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Hilton officiating. Burial will follow at Hill of Rest Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandson's and nephew; Jason Turner, David Turner, Clint Burgess, Ryan Metzger, Blake Blackwell, and Cameron Campbell.
