Amelia (Schwindt) Libsack

Daughter of Caroline (Reifschneider) and Henry Schwindt. She immigrated with her mother, grandparents and siblings to America in 1913 aboard the grand Prince Kaiser Wilhelm. After registering at Ellis Island in New York Harbor, she was reunited with her father, who had gone ahead to make a place for his family, and settled in Gering, Nebr., in August of that year.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Henry (SCHWINDT), sons Jerry and Bob, sisters, Katherine Yakel, Suzanne Constance, Leah Bumpus, Molly Osgood, Emma Cheatle, two infant daughters named Caroline, and brothers Henry H. and Fred Schwindt.

Amy is survived by her daughter, Lucille Green of Mitchell, grandsons and wives, Ken and Trush Green of Scottsbluff, Greg and Lee Ann Green of Ft. Morgan, Colo., Jerry and Tory Green of Scottsbluff, and Patrick and Kris Libsack of Pierce, Colo. Also, great-grandchildren Dr. Nathan and Amy Green of San Antonio, Texas, Abby Green of Scottsbluff, Libby and Dave Murphy of Loveland, Colo., and Beau of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; great-great-grandchildren, Madison Green and Donavon Murphy; brothers and wives, Dave and Tug Schwindt of Alliance and Carl and Esther Schwindt of Gering.
