MYRTLE OLIVE STRICKLAND BAKER, 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009. She was born Feb. 27, 1923 to Nicy Jane and Joel C. Strickland, Sr. in Dunn, N.C. She married Denver W. Baker on Dec. 24, 1944 and shared 61 years of marriage before Denver went to be with the Lord in 2005. She is survived by their two daughters, Jane Chancey of Gotha, FL and Renee' Baker of Mills River, NC; granddaughter Tiffany Chancey Taylor and her husband Mike Taylor of Gotha, FL; grandson Terry Wayne Chancey, Jr of Orlando, FL; and sister, Ina Pipkin of Orlando, FL. Myrtle was a member of Delaney Street Baptist Church for 57 years.
