Age 81, of Midway Park, NC, passed away at her residence. She was a daughter of the late William Scott Ritchie and Bessie Mae (Wilfong) Ritchie. She graduated from Franklin High School and was employed at the Harrisonburg Telephone Company as a telephone Operator. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Jacksonville, NC. On March 22, 1952, she married Paul E. Kyger who survives.
Also survived by two daughters: Judy King of Jacksonville, NC, and Cynthia Kyger of Asheville, NC; two sons: John Kyger of Salisbury, NC, and Paul E. Kyger Jr. of Royal Palm Beach, FL; five sisters: Mildred Briggs of Mt. Vernon, NY, Erma May of Broadway, VA, Leoma Hottinger of Brandywine, WV, Anna Lee Burkholder of Harrisonburg, VA, Wanda Simmers of Bridgewater, Va; two brothers: Harlan Ritchie of Broadway, Va, Berlin Ritchie of Lincolnton, NC; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by one brother Raymond Ritchie; two sisters: Ruth Hottinger and Ina Mae Umberger.
At her request, she was cremated.
