Funeral services for Ervin Vallery, 72 , of 3100 Grammont St., Monroe, were held today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe with the Rev. W. T. Hemphill officiating. Burial was in the Derry Cemetery at Cloutierville.
Mr. Vallery died Saturday morning at E. A. Conway Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was a retired employee of the City of Monroe.
Survivors include three stepsons, Ezell Kerry of Monroe, Ezeb Kerry of Kenner, and Rufus Kerry of Cat Island; two brothers, Andrew Vallery of Monroe and Ivie Vallery of Fort Worth, Tex.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mareiliete Cavaness of Monroe and Mrs. Sylvia Davis of West Monroe.
Pallbearers were Steve Vallery, Joseph Vallery, Oliver Vallery, Oliver Vallery, Jr., Bert Hibbard and Stephen Brossett.
