Linda was the daughter of Floyd and Viola (Truax) Worden.
She was raised in Albion where she attended school. Linda was the co-owner of Van's Marine in Ford River for many years before receiving her degree in counseling from Bay De Noc Community College. She was a substance abuse counselor for Delta and Alger counties from 1980 until her retirement in 1988.
Linda was united in marriage to Keith Farrell on April 14, 1979, in Escanaba, and they loved traveling together. Some of their favorite trips, which included taking their grandson, Nathan, included Mexico, Hawaii, and Florida.
Linda was an avid outdoorswoman. She enjoyed fishing and deer and pheasant hunting. She also enjoyed going to the race track, watching horse racing, and knowing the horses and jockeys. Linda cherished spending time with her grandson, Nathan. She enjoyed taking him hunting and fishing as well as long talks.
Linda was also very close to her daughter. They would talk every day about life in general, as well as what was going on in their day. They liked to travel together, and sometimes took road trips where they would take short cuts, get lost, and laugh about it.
Grandson Nathan (Heather) blessed Linda with five wonderful great-grandchildren that she enjoyed tremendously. More often than not, there was always a great-grandchild at the house for a weekend.
In addition to her husband, Keith, survivors include: daughter, Debbie Smith; grandson, Nathan (Heather) Smith; five great-grandchildren, Jason, Seth, Hunter, Destinee and Madison Smith; step-son, Robert (Antinina) Farrell; step-daughter, Vicki (Bob) Fresen; three step-grandchildren, Andrea Fresen, Laura and Ryan Farrell; brother, Bruce (Trish) Worden; and sister-in-law, Pat Worden.
In addition to her parents, her step-father, Lennis Cooper; first husband, Rodney VanElsacker; brothers, Harry and Howard Worden; sisters, Jacqueline Bartell and Mary Jane Mills; and two infant sisters preceded Linda in death.
Visitation at the Skradski Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating her life officiated by Rev. Fr. Fran DeGroot. Burial in Fernwood Cemetery.
