Ronald Ray Draper was born on October 4, 1936, the son of Ty Cobb Draper (1914–1984) and his 1st wife Eugenia (Greene) Draper (1916–1975). {Ty was married 2nd on March 5, 1977 in Anderson, Tennessee to Patricia Evelyn (Maloney) Morrell (1923–1983).}


He served in the US Army, and after his discharge in 1957 he started working as a electrician and eventually started his own company. His favorite pastime was restoring old cars, listening to Bluegrass music and watching Nascar racing.


Ronald was married about 1958 to Patsy Ozanne -- .


Living in Goodlettsville, Davidson County, Tennessee, he was 79 years old when he passed away at home on May 26, 2016.


Preceded in death by his parents and by his sister Evelyn Faye (Draper) Dinwiddie (1940-2012), he was survived by his widow, two sons and three grandchildren.


Graveside Services with Military Honors was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
