Victor Wray “Vic” Irby age 81 of Wauchula passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at home. Vic served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Vic also served as Post Master of Zolfo Springs, as well as Wauchula where he retired. Vic was a member of First Baptist Church of Wauchula, where he served as a past deacon, as well as various other committees. Vic has been a member, as well as past President of the National Association of Post Masters of the United States.

He is preceded in death by his father Marion E. Irby; mother Loyce Williams (Irby) Whidden; brother William “Billy” Irby.

Vic is survived by his wife of 62 years Glenda Swann Irby of Wauchula; daughter Karen Doyle and husband Alan of Wauchula; grandchildren Stephen Judah and wife Keather of Winter Haven, Robbie Doyle of Bowling Green, Michael Doyle and wife Amber of Bartow; brother Tommy Irby and wife Virginia of Zolfo Springs; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
