Mrs. Brown died on Thurs. May 1st, in the Ensley Adult Care Center in Sylva, NC. She was a member of the Locust Field Baptist Church there & was preceded in death by her husband in 1976, William Brown, and her parents, Robert & Ivory (Buchanan) Childers. She is survived by sons, Barrett & wife Evylee Potts of Jasonville, IN; William "Bill" & wife, Susan Brown of Lawrence, MI; brother, John B. Childers of Sylva; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Interment followed funeral services that were conducted on Saturday, May 3, 2003 at the chapel of the Moody Funeral Home; Rev. Charles Carnes officiating.
