Johnny Jay Morgan, 69 of Lacoochee died Saturday, May 28, 2016 in Dunedin, FL. Johnny was born in Dade City to James C. & Beatrice (Johnson) Morgan. He was a lifelong resident of this area and attended Pasco High School. He worked many years as a heavy equipment operator for Pasco County. Upon retiring from Pasco county Johnny ventured into business for himself and founded Rope Now, catering to commercial fishermen and shrimpers where he was loved and treated as one of their family members, this venture lasted for 25 years. He spent much of his free time with the beauty of nature on his farm where he enjoyed spending time with his horses and cows. He is preceded in death by his father, a brother Richard and son Dewayne. He is survived by his wife Lelibeth, his mother Beatrice, daughter Darlene (Robby) Willis, brother Jimmy (Linda) Morgan, sister Angie (Wayne) Sheffield, grandchildren Kaylee Willis and Jarrett Morgan. Johnny's family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31st from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am at the Trilby New Life Assembly of God, 38012 Hwy 575, Trilacoochee, FL. Johnny will be laid to rest at Trilby Cemetery.
