Funeral services will be held at 2p.m Thursday at Arnold Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday from 12p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Melba was born November 5, 1923 in Wellsville, the daughter of Fran E. and Ella Mae(Sankpill) Meyer. On October 12, 1942 in Mexico, she married Olen Glenn May.
Mrs. May had worked for Bobby Brooks Garment Factory in Vandalia and was a homemaker. She volunteered many years at Audraun Medical Center and attended the Methodist Church in Wellsvile.
Melba enjoyed fishing with her husband, loved her flowers, and going to Mexico Senior Center where she played cards.
Survivors include three sons, Darrell(Jeannette) May of Evergreen Colorado, Leland(Gail) May of Mexico, and Earl(Debera) May of Stoutsville , six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, one brother, Herbert Meyer of Wellsville, one half brother, Clarence Meyer of Wellsville, and many nieces, and nephews.'
Mrs. May was preceded in death by her husband Olen on November 5, 2002.
