Diana Lynn Peterson was born to James R. and Marcella L. Kenison on March 15, 1948 in Great Falls, Montana. She attended local schools and graduated from Montana State University in 1970. In June of that same year, she married her dear, sweet eternal companion Dennis Lynn Peterson. Diana and Dennis cherished each other and had a devoted marriage that emphasized love, trust and faith. This year would have marked their 46th wedding anniversary. Together, Dennis and Diana were blessed with three children. Diana raised her children in a home filled with love, laughter, and lessons of hard work and integrity. They were blessed to learn from her Christ-like example.
In addition to marriage and family, Diana was dedicated to teaching in professional and religious settings. She was a gifted teacher who was loved by students of all ages. Diana had fond memories of teaching in various church callings. She had served as a seminary, primary and a Sunday school teacher and most recently as an instructor in the temple preparation and marriage/family relations classes. Diana especially adored serving as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Utah Temple. She was a remarkable example of showing service to others and loving unconditionally. Diana chose to follow our Savior’s example in word and in deed, she served with the reminder “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matt 25:40)
Diana’s final months were spent living in her home, receiving loving care from her husband; visiting with her children and her grandchildren, and sharing her love with all that were near. We are grateful for the knowledge we have that families will be together forever.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; three children; and her twelve grandchildren.
