Stephen S. Butcher, age 47 years, a resident of Beverly, passed away Friday evening, May 27, 2016 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born April 19, 1969 in Elkins a son of the late Alvin Sherwood Butcher and Karen Poling Butcher who resides at Beverly.

Also surviving is one sister, Susan Eaves and husband Jason, Warrenton, VA, a niece Katelyn Eaves and a nephew, Tanner Eaves.

Stephen was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1987.

He was a carpenter, heavy equipment operator and a contractor prior to becoming disabled.

He was a member of the Randolph County Regional Horse Riding Club, enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars.

Friends may call from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 1st from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leon Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery near Beverly.
