Ann D. Schaffer, 90, of Topton, formerly of Emmaus, died on May 13th, 2007 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Norman G. Schaffer who died in 1998. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Buss) Danner.

She worked as a lab technician for the former Western Electric in Allentown. She was a past member of the Jerusalem Western Salisbury Lutheran Church where she was active in the bell choir and St. Johns Lutheran Church, Emmaus, where she was active in the Altar Guild and Sunday school. She was a Girl Scout leader for troop 32, St. Johns United Church of Christ, Emmaus, a member of Emmaus Lioness Club and an avid bridge player with the Pioneers of Western Electric.

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Dr. Carol A. Gerdes of Alameda, Calif., Barbara G., wife of Robert W. Bennicoff Jr., of Coopersburg, Peggy L., wife of Chris Duelfer, of Allentown; grandsons, Dr. Kevin McCauley, Gregory Duelfer; granddaughters, Lisa George, Krista, wife of Daniel Graff, Jessica Duelfer; three great-granddaughters.

Services: Funeral services Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Jerusalem Western Salisbury Lutheran Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. in the church. Interment in Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus. Schantz Funeral Home Inc., Emmaus, is in charge of the arrangements.
