Mildred Turrentine, 76, of Alvin died Saturday, Oct. 15, 1994 in St. Joseph Health Care Center, Bryan. She was born on April 15, 1918 in Milam County, Texas and was a resident of Alvin since 1954. She was a member of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Turrentine was preceded in death by her parents, Harve Thomas and Mary Caroline Daniel, and by two sisters and four brothers.
Mrs. Turrentine left as survivors, her: husband, C.D. Turrentine of Alvin; daughters and son-in-law, Loretta Russell of Edmond, Okla., Lawanda Jean and Ollie Rose of Alvin; sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Marlene Moore of Thornburg, Vir., Gary and Linda Moore of College Station; sister Evelyn Stanislaw of Cameron, Texas; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Tuesday, in the chapel of Froberg Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Odie Young, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Algoa, officiating. Interment was in the Confederate Cemetery, under the direction of Froberg Funeral Home, Inc.
Chris Hayes, George Kirl, David Moore, Bubba McGoldrick, John McGoldrick, Floyd Rose, Ken Russell, and Mike Russell served as pallbearers.
