Rosemary June Long, age 85 passed away at her home on Sunday, May 1, 2016 under the loving care of her family.

She was born the daughter of Ormand & Mildred (Hodges) Ross on June 30, 1930 in Sheridan, both of whom precede her in death as well as her brother, Vernon Ross and sister-in-law, Natalie Anstett.

Surviving Rosemary is her husband of 65 years, Bernard; son, Steve (Marcia) Long of Sheridan; daughters, Anne Harrison of Alma, Terri Long of Sheridan; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Rosemary served as the Montcalm County Treasurer from 1981 to 1989 and was a Montcalm County Commissioner from 1993 to 1996. She was an active member of the Heritage Village and also a member of the Sheridan VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

In honoring Rosemary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no ceremony will be held.

For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Rosemary’s memory the family has suggested either the Heritage Village or Vickeryville Methodist Church.
