Son of Lawrence & Mary (Jones) Richardson.

He left his Will, dated 4mo/Apr 12, 1810, proved 9 Feb 1814, Lancaster Will Bk K, pg 579 wherein he named his wife Dinah Richardson and children: 5 sons Joel, Samuel, Joseph, Isaac + Caleb Richardson and 3 daughters Lydia Richardson; Hannah, wife of Samuel Embree; Mary, wife of Joshua Webster.

He named his sons Samuel Richardson and Isaac Richardson as Executors and left his 300 acre plantation in Little Britain to be divided among his 5 sons.

His Will was witnessed by Thomas Thomas, Isaac Webster, Joshua Brown.

On 5mo/May 26, 1768, Joseph, son of Lawrence Richardson, deceased, of Strasberg Twp, Lancaster Co married Dinah, daughter of Joel Harlan of Newlin Twp, Chester Co at Bradford Mtg,

Among the witnesses were her parents Joel + Hannah (Wickersham) Harlan, his step-father Thomas Green, his half-siblings Susanna + Hannah Green; his brother John Richardson and sister Faithful (Richardson) Slaymaker, her sister Ruth Harlan, and many others. [The marriage record is extant]

The memorial for his sister, Faithful (Richardson), wife of Henry Slaymaker, is # 13617399.

His parents, Lawrence Richardson and Mary Jones, were married 21 Apr 1732 at Leacock, Lancaster Co. His father died by 1748 and his mother married secondly Thomas Green in 1749 out of unity and both were admonished for same. They had 2 daughters, Hannah Green (married Joshua Way in 1774) + Susanna Green

Care should be given to not confuse this Joseph Richardson in Lancaster Co with another of the same name who died in Bucks Co, PA also in 1814.
