Jo Ann Byrd, age 62, of Duluth, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2008. She is survived by her Brother; Robert Byrd of Thomaston, GA, Sister and Brother in law; Betty and Gene Austin of Warner Robbins, GA, Niece; Deborah Wellborn, Nephews; Jeff Austin, Keith Austin, Brian Austin, 7 Great Nieces and 1 Great Nephew and her dog Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Virgil and Mattie Ruth (Blair) Byrd. Jo Ann was born in Columbus, GA and grew up in Thomaston, GA, and was employed with Atlanta Dental Supply. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24 th from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. A Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Jo Ann Byrd will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Northeast Baptist Church, 4046 Chamblee Tucker Road, Atlanta, GA 30340. Another viewing will be from 1:00 -2:00 P.M. at the church on Saturday. Rev. Brian Wright and Rev. Amy Moore will officiate. Following the service Jo Ann will be taken to Coggins Funeral Home, Thomaston, GA for another service on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at the Thomaston Church of God. Rev. Ed Rigby will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will follow in the Upson Memorial Gardens, Thomaston, GA.
