Mary C. Hoffman, 77, of Shepherd died Sunday, Dec. 2, 1984, at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Shepherd with the Rev. Ray Matuszewski officiating. Burial will be at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery in Shepherd. A rosary service is scheduled for 8 p.m. today at the Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd.

Mrs. Hoffman was born May 14, 1907, in Kalida, Ohio, to John and Thresa (Kerner) Siebeneck. She married Vincent H. Hoffman on Nov. 13, 1929, in Kalida, Ohio.

A member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church and of the church's Altar Society, Mrs. Hoffman was retired from the housekeeping department at Gratiot Community Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent; five sons, Edward, Thomas, Alex, and Ronald, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Robert of St. Louis; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Doris) Allen and Mrs. Edward (Teresa) Recker, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Jean Bortkewicze of Saginaw; a brother, Edward Siebeneck of Lima, Ohio; 23 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
