Mrs. T. G. Mathis is Buried in Bonita Monday

On Saturday, the Bonita community sustained a great shock when it learned that Mrs. Mathis, aged 25, wife of T. G. Mathis, of Selma and the eldest daughter of Mrs. Lillie Humphrey of Bonita, after a brief illness, had succumbed at her home in Selma, Louisiana.

Sunday morning, the body was brought to Bonita where a host of sympathizing friends awaited to escort the bereaved ones and the remains to the family home on the Bonne Idee.

The funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Day of Bonita Methodist Church, were held at the residence Monday at 1:30 o'clock and the interment took place in the old Bonne Idee Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Messrs. Jones Nesom, Clifton Reeves, Leroy Sims, Scott Buatt, Clarence Sisson.

Mrs. Mathis, nee Lula Mae Humphrey, leaves her husband, T. G. Mathis, and two small children of Selma, her devoted mother, Mrs. Lillie Humphrey, a brother, J. E. Humphrey, and grandmother, Mrs. Moore of Bonita and a sister, Mrs. George Casey of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
