Harold J. Nichols, 78, of Versailles, widower of Christine Newby Nichols, died Sunday, November 20 at the U. K. Medical Center.
He was a retired mechanic and auto body repairman and owner of Nichols and Sons Body Shop in Lexington.
Born in Lexington, he was a son of the late William and Grace Beasley Nichols.
He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Lexington.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn and Judy, two sons, Landon, Mark Nichols of Lexington, a sister, Betty, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Friday, November 25 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday with Rev. Todd Toole officiating.
Burial will follow at the Versailles Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shannon Estes, Ronnie Newby, John Patrick Newby, J. D. Crowe, John Winchester Jr., and John Winchester Sr.
