Mr. Jerry Wayne Bynum, age 68 of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday May 26, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Bynum was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed guns and hunting.

Mr. Bynum was preceded in death by his father, Hal C. Bynum, Jr.; step-father, Conway Gregory; brother, Robert Newell Bynum; nephew, Bobby Wayne Bynum.

Survivors include, wife of 46 years, Louise Virginia Hampton Bynum of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Keith and Amanda Bynum, Brian Bynum all of Chatsworth; mother, Ora Belle Gregory of Chatsworth; brother and sisters-in-law, Lamar and Virginia Clark of Dalton, Debra Bynum, Chatsworth; grandchildren, Jessica Cross of Dalton, Zoe Bynum of Chatsworth; nieces; nephews; cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bynum will be held Sunday May 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Beason officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Church Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
