Mr. Patterson passed away at 8 p.m., on May 26, 2016 with his family surrounding him. He was born December 9, 1957 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Roger Thomas Patterson and Marguerite Gertrude (Day) Patterson.

Mr. Patterson owned and operated his own business, Food Tech Services for many years. He served in the US Army from May 11, 1976 to August 25, 1977 and attained the rank of E-3. He attended the First Christian Church in Independence and was a former Boy Scout leader in Vandalia. He enjoyed playing the guitar and fishing.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Jeffrey Mansfield; and one sister, Pamela Shook.

He is survived by: one son, Jordan Patterson of Chattanooga, TN; Brittany Patterson of Vandalia; two brothers, Ian Patterson of Ballwin, and Neal Mansfield of Marathon, FL; one sister, Nora Patton of Mesa, AZ; and two grandchildren, Addison and Daxxen Wheeler.
