Amy Isaacson Price

Amy Isaacson Price passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009, from a broken heart. The earlier loss of her son, Isaac, continued to take its toll and was eventually more than she could bear.

Amy brightened the life of anyone she met. Her zest for life in combination with her artistic talent, eye for style, and relish for the unusual delighted her family and friends. She loved her work at the Akron Summit County Public Library where she worked for 21 years. She especially enjoyed working with young people as the Teen Librarian. Her goal was to give them a greater appreciation for the beautiful things in life. Amy was a graduate of Ellet High School, The University of Akron, and Simmons College in Boston, where she earned a master's degree in library science. She was a a former Girl Scout and a lifetime member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school class. Amy was a daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend, but most importantly, Amy wants to be remembered as Isaac's mother.

She was preceded in death by her son, Isaac Price Magoun. Amy is survived by her parents, Jack and Patricia (McIntire) Price; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack L. and Pamela Price and William M. and Carole Price; special niece, Emily Robillard (Orion); special nephew, Jack M. Price; numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
