U.S. Congressman. He served two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and then served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, (1951-53). After the war he graduated from Brigham Young University Utah and moved to Idaho. He was a member of Idaho State House of Representatives, (1955-56) and a comptroller for the American Potato Company Blackfoot, Idaho, (1957-60). In 1961, he was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-seventh and Eighty-eighth Congresses, serving until 1965. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he was served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, (1965-66), divisional vice president at E.F. Hutton Financial Services, (1979-81) and advisor and consultant to the Philippine sugar industry, (1982-88). He died from cancer in retirement at age 77.
