ABRAHAM, Joseph "Joe" Joseph Abraham, 94, of Dallas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peaty, of 61 years He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend to all who knew and loved him. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa on February 28, 1922 to Benjamin and Bessie Sax Abraham. He joined the Army in 1942, and as a member of the Greatest Generation, he served proudly at Normandy, in Northern France, and Germany. Upon his return, he received his BA in Accounting from The University of Southern California. He had a successful career as a CPA and CFO of numerous Dallas based corporations. Survivors include his daughters, Sherry Scott of Garland, Texas, and Deborah Abraham of Arvada, Colorado, as well as his son-in-law, Stanley Scott of Garland, Texas. He was the devoted grandfather of Shelby, Ilsa, Amando Jo, as well as great grandfather to Ethan and McKennah. He loved his nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. He was a gentle and wise man who enjoyed golf, boating and fishing, metaphysical ideas, and family times. (Obit from DMN)
