Lloyd M. (Bill) Garner

Was born in Tacoma, Washington on April 29, 1926 to Lucy Lee Desmond Garner and James M. (Pete) Garner, passed away May 1, 2016 at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Clarice Guyett Garner.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy before marrying and then beginning his career at International Harvester in Tacoma as a parts-man and then a salesman. He then joined Caterpillar Tractor as a salesman. His love of machinery and moving dirt took him to the next phase of his career as a land developer and real estate investor.

Bill's civic interest was evidenced in his youth recreation coaching and terms on the Bethel School District Board. After wintering in Arizona for a number of years, Bill and Clarice retired to their Tule Lake residence.

Graveside services held Tuesday, May 10, 2:00 p.m., at Fir Lane Memorial Park, reception followed.
