He is survived by children Regina (Danny) Crampsey, Michael (VaRonda) Hamilton, Brian Hamilton; 6 grandchildren; siblings William (Dianne) Hamilton, Waldo Hamilton, Allen Hamilton, Lucille (Steven) Shoup, Anita Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by daughter Kimberly Faye Hamilton; parents Lucille Hopkins Hamilton and William Allen Hamilton, stepmother, Ruthmae Phillips Hamilton; siblings Harriet Hamilton Gaston and Virginia Hamilton D’Elia.

Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Fairview High School before serving in the US Air Force. He was a Jack-of-All-Trades, enjoyed tinkering, building things, and was always ready to help when others needed something done. He was a long-time member of the Dayton Hash House Harriers, who became his second family. Through the years he worked at the Dayton Museum of Natural History, Dayton Art Institute, WPAFB, and Srepco, Inc.

Services at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering OH, June 2, 2016. Private Interment will be at the Dayton National Cemetery.
