Mrs. Rebecca Shafer, 66, of Walton, Roane County, was dead on arrival Thursday at Roane General Hospital. She was a native of Roane County.
Survivors: husband, John; sons, Carlos Harper of Grants Press, Ore., John Shafer Jr. and Kenneth Shafer of Cleveland, Ohio; daughters Mrs. Maxine Abner of Spencer, Mrs. Janet Miller of Reedy; sisters, Mrs. Edna Taylor, Mrs. Emma Jackson and Mrs. Myrtle Shafer of Walton, Mrs. Mamie Lowe of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Elba Moore of Clendenin, Lloyd Moore of Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Service will be held Sunday at 1 pm at Vandale Funeral Home Spencer, with Rev. Larry Haught in charge. Burial will be in Hunts Cemetery on Green Creek.
