Mack Oglesbee, 78, of Creston, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Crest Haven Care Centre in Creston.
Celebration of Life Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29 at the Murray Baptist Church in Murray. Pastor Matthew Novonty will officiate. Burial will be at the Murray Cemetery in Murray.
Visitation with family receiving friends will be from 1:30 until the start of the service at 3:00 Sunday at the Murray Baptist Church.
Memorials can be given to the Murray Baptist Church or Gideon's International.
Mack L Oglesbee, son of Paul and Marjorie Neva (Huss) Oglesbee, was born on April 24, 1938 in Winterset, Iowa. He was educated in the Martensdale Community School System. On August 21, 1987, Mack was united in marriage with Frances Sue (Allen) Turner Seymour in Truro, Iowa. They lived in Murray for a year then on a farm in Mercer, Missouri for 15 years before moving to Ottumwa for seven years. He worked with Meredith Printing Company for ten years but also was involved in mission work as well as farming. In 2009 they moved to Creston.
Mack attended First Baptist Church in Creston and while in Ottumwa he attended Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Eleanor Carpenter and infant sister Norma Pauline.
