Mrs. Diana Lynn Welcher Wade, 57, of Waynesboro and the wife of Albert Wade, Jr. departed this life on Tuesday May 25, 2016 in Charlottesville, VA.

Diana, the daughter of Richard Welcher and Frances Miller Allen, was born May 14, 1959 in Augusta County, VA.

Diana was a longtime employee of Kroger Company at Arch Avenue. She worked diligently in the deli department which included her talent for decorating beautiful cakes.

Diana and Wade (as she called him), loved their time together as if they were always on an extended honey-moon. Watching them ride off in “Lil Jag” seemed as if they had the world by the tail and only those two existed in their world.

Diana also leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Tory Welcher, her granddaughter Victoria Rose Smiley, two step children Lamond (Montey) and Altalouise (Dee), step father Minister John Allen, one brother Richard Welcher, five sisters Dale Welcher, Lisa White, Karen Bell, Johna Allen and Shauna Allen. Mother-in-law Alberta Wade, Brother-in-laws John and Winfred Wade, Sister-in-laws Beverly Johnson and Priscilla Wade and a number of nieces and nephews. Cherishing her memories also include Diana’s friends from Kroger and others that knew and loved her.
