Gary Steven Farmer, 64, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 26, 2016.

He was born November 21, 1951 in Cleveland, Tennessee to Vernon and Nora Boring Farmer. He was a 1970 graduate of Central High School and a member of Iron Workers Local 704.
Gary enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating, flea markets, collecting antiques and driving his El Camino. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and a former member of Grace Works Church. He loved spending time with family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Gibb Farmer; son, Shane (Amanda) Farmer; stepsons, Chase (Jami) Manning and Spencer Manning; grandchildren, Ashlyn and Cayden Farmer and nephew, Chase Cowell.

Funeral service will be at noon, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wesley Odum officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.

The family would like to express their great appreciation to the oncology department and nursing staff at Memorial Hospital for their care.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm, Monday, May 30, and from 11 am-noon, Tuesday, May 31, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
