Cynthia Ann Crawford, 53, a resident of the Cornelius community passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at her home in Cornelius.

Cynthia was born on April 24, 1963 in Portland, OR She was one of seven children born to Gary and Sally (Vanderbeck) Duyck. She was raised on the family farm south of Cornelius and attended Hillsboro High School. graduating with the Class of 1981.

Cynthia was married to Michael Ackerman in 1982 and they made their home in Cornelius, OR. They later divorced. Cynthia was a loving and devoted mother to her three children; Anastasia, Tasha, and Joseph and had raised her family in the Cornelius area. She worked at several jobs throughout her life including a caregiver, her families produce stand, Petro's Pizza among many other. Cynthia was united in marriage to William Crawford in 2010 until his death in 2013, they loved getting ice cream and sitting at the duck pond in Forest Grove.

She loved the outdoors, especially camping, clam digging and going to the beach. She liked to garden, collect odd trinkets and was devoted to her faith. Cynthia loved her grandchildren and all of her nieces and nephews. Her most favorite place was in her father's filbert orchards and most memorable time as a child was taking care of the piglets under the heat lamps.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William, a nephew, Kenneth Duyck, her caretaker and close friend, Tony Cochran.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses; Anastasia and Adam Hertel of Cornelius, Tasha Ackerman of Cornelius, Joseph and Desirae Ackerman of Cornelius, her parents; Gary and Sally Duyck of Cornelius, Four brothers; Hal, Dale, Will & Virgil Duyck , two sisters; Laura Hamilton, Jacinta Juenemann. three grandchildren; Alexandrea, Elizabeth and Temperance, and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggest donations in Cynthia's name to St Francis of Assisi Grade School in Roy, OR and KBVM
