Eva (Last) Amerpohl, age 89, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, died Tuesday morning, February 27, 1996, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 29, 1996, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Gerald Free and Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate with burial in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.
She was born January 5, 1907, in the Township of Two Creeks, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late August and Minnie Kracht Last. She grew up in the Township of Two Creeks and attended the Twin Elder School at Two Creeks. She graduated from the Mishicot High School in 1924. She then attended one year at the Manitowoc County Normal Teachers College and also attended Stevens Point Teachers College. After graduation, she taught school in Two Creeks, Two Rivers, Port Edwards, Wis., Janesville, Wis., and Appleton where she retired after a total of 43 years teaching. Eva married Clifford Amerpohl, of Blanchardville, Wis., on August 8, 1948. Clifford preceded her in death December 3, 1973. Eva moved to Manitowoc in 1978. She was a member of Immanual Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies of Immanuel.
Survivors include one step-daughter, Nancy Youse, Elk Grove, Ill.; one step-granddaughter, Robin Youse, Elk Grove, Ill. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Memorials would be appreciated to Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church or the Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
