He had worked at National Picture and Frame, Greenwood Sawmill and Moorhead Sawmill. He was retired and was a member of Steadfast COGIC. He is survived by a son, Miller Carter Jr. of Quito; six daughters, Sally O’Banner of Compton, CA, Christine Osborne of Chicago, Bessie Davis of Chino, CA, Cynthia Luck of Chandler,AZ, Donna Murry of Itta Bena and Delores Cotton of Brandon; a sister, Zenobia Craft of Gulfport; 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home. Elder James A. Cooper Sr. will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be 11th Mason District Brothers. Honorary pallbearers will be James Wade, Shundrick Carter, Ryshun Holston, Anthony Jones, Alfred Carter and Curtis Smith. Burial will be in Payne Chapel Church Cemetery in Quito.
