"Jimmie W. Cox, 74, of Rineyville, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his residence. The Hardin County native was a 1960 graduate of Rineyville High School, was a member of Bethesda Ministries and was a heavy equipment operator. He was a lifelone U of K fan and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew T. and Sarah Jane Glass Cox, by three brothers, Howard Cox, Hillard Cox and Thurman Cox and by two sisters, Odetta Yates and Ethyl Smith. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Meyers Cox, three sons, Timmie W. (Geralyn) Cox and Rickie K. (Tammie) Cox all of Elizabethtown, and Shannon Cox of Rineyville, one brother, Jackie (Margaret Ann) Cox of Elizabethtown, two sisters, Christine Cox of Alabama and Ruby Cox of Florida, Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethesda Ministries with Pastor Jerry Westerfield officiating. Burial will be in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church at 2738 Ring Road. Expressions of sympathy may go to Hosparus of Central Kentucky."
