NORWICH – Michelle Lynn Cook, 43, of Norwich passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. On June 15, 1972 she was born in Norwich, Connecticut the daughter of William Cook, Sr. of Groton and the late Patricia Camby formerly of Norwich. Michelle enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the casino, being by the water, making people laugh, and lounging around watching her favorite TV shows. Michelle was an amazing and loving mother, daughter, friend, and family member who will be missed dearly by everyone. In addition to her father she is survived by her grandmother Emma Camby of Norwich; three children, Jemel Stone, Sr., Isam Bryant, and Tajee Julius all of Norwich; two grandsons, Jemel Stone, Jr. of New London, and Javian Stone of Groton; her significant other, Horace Prince of New York; three brothers, William Cook, Jr., Michael Gilliard of Norwich, and Timothy Cook and wife Jessica of Baltic; her sister Adrianne Cook and husband Daniel of Baltic; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Please join her family for a celebration of her life on Friday, May 27, 2106 at the Evans Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 2 McKinley Ave, Norwich. Greetings will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a service beginning at 11:00 am. The Woyasz & Son Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
