Born on August 22, 1919 in Loveville, MD, he was the son of the late Stephen Lawrence Vallandingham and Julia Marie Bowles Vallandingham. Stephen was a life long tobacco farmer. He worked as a solicitor for the Waldorf Tobacco Warehouse for 30 years and was a member of ASCS.
He is survived by a daughter, Alice V. Bailey of Leonardtown, MD, Stephen G. Vallandingham of Mechanicsville, MD, Lawrence G. Vallandingham of Leonardtown, MD, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a sister, Marie V. Rowe of Clements, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Margaret Eleanor Guy Vallandingham in 1989 and Grace Agnes Moore Vallandingham in 1999, a great grandson, Dylan Brown, two sisters, Dorothy V. Milford, Gertrude V. Weiland, and two brothers, J. Howard Vallandingham and Bernard I. Vallandingham.
