Garland "Gar" Fitch, Sr., 71, of Tiffin, passed away May 25, 2016 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. He was born July 8, 1944, in Inez, KY, to James and Lona (Bowen) Fitch. He married Gloria J. Runion March 29, 1965 and she preceded him in death November 3, 2010. He is survived by his sons, Garland (Christine Myers) Fitch, Jr. of Tiffin, Lonnie (James Puffenberger) Fitch of Tiffin, and Mike (Dale Ann) Fitch of Tiffin, Rick (Beth) Fitch of Republic, and Randy (Kristal) Fitch of Tiffin, sisters, Lillie Price of Tiffin, and Mary (Bill) Klewer of Phoenix, AZ, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Arlen, Cecil, Haskel, Nathan, Chester and Burgess, sisters, Nellie Mills, and Hallie Robins, and a great grandson, Jaden Fitch. Gar was a plant mechanic at Water Pollution Control Center. There will be a graveside service at 11am, May 28, 2016 at Fairmont Cemetery with Chaplain Tracy Elder officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Hoffmann Gottfried Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
