"Frances Ann (Pont) Beck was born on Dec. 22, 1940, at Norfolk, the daughter of Vernon and Verna (Vogel) Pont. Her mother died two days after her birth. She grew up with her grandparents in Stanton. She was a graduate of Stanton High School in 1959. Frances married Eugene Beck on March 27, 1984, in Clark, Nev. The couple lived in Minneapolis and Frances worked for the Minneapolis Transit Authority as a bus driver. The couple moved to California to be nearer to her husband's family. There, she was employed by the City of Los Angeles Transit Authority as a bus driver. She returned to Stanton in 2009 when she retired. Frances worked part-time for the New England Congregational United Church of Christ as a secretary. She was survived by 2 half-sisters, 2 half-brothers, several nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her spouse on Oct. 3, 1994, and a half sister, Verdel Pont in 2013."
