Mr. Bond had a varied career as attorney, postmaster, teacher, farmer and county official. he served as Union County Clerk for two terms and was chairman of the Republican committee of Union county for eight years.
Attorneys from Union, Franklin, Wayne and Fayette Counties conducted memorial services at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the courtroom in Liberty.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, Clara, are seven sons, including Clayton, James and John of Liberty; a sister, Mrs. Oscar Chance of Connersville and a brother, Alfred Bond, Liberty, Route 4.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Miller-Baker Funeral Home at Liberty with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville.
