Funeral services for Samuel Dixon Poole, 54, well-known farmer and life-long resident of Montgomery county, who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home near Darnestown on Saturday, were held Monday at the funeral home of W. B. Hilton, Barnesville. Rev. William L. Everhart, pastor of the Darnestown Presbyterian church, officiated and burial was in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

Mr. Poole was a son of the late Charles and Rachel Poole. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lelia Loy, Chevy Chase; Mrs. Nellie Storms, Mt. Airy; and Mrs. Osie Savage, Frederick Junction, and three brothers, Edgar Poole, Urbana; Walter Poole, Dickerson; and Martin L. Poole, Darnestown.
