Laura Jean McConnell, 59, of New Providence, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 in Manor Care in Lancaster.

Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Audrey (Heidig) Hershey of New Providence and the late Theodore P. Howe.

Laura was a 1974 graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School.

She worked as a Material Handler with R. R. Donnelly & Sons and formerly as a Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.

Laura was a kind-hearted soul who enjoyed helping those in need, raising children, traveling to Disney World, and reading.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister.

In addition to her father, Laura was preceded in death by her sister: Audrey Howe; and her brother: Jeffrey Howe.

Surviving are her husband of twenty-eight years: Theodore Michael McConnell; her sons: Benjamin McConnell of State College and Korbin Pinto of New Providence; her granddaughter: Summer McConnell; her grandson: Lucas McConnell; her mother; and, her sisters: Anne wife of Mark Rinier of York, Susan George of Mt. Joy, and Michelle Howe of Lancaster.

Grave-side Services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
