JONES - Funeral Services for Mrs. JAMES K. JONES, Sr. will be held at her residence, 1812 Nineteenth street northwest on Monday, August 3, 1925 at 3 p.m. The interment will be in Rock Creek cemetery.

Widow of Arkansas Senator Long in Failing Health. Rites to Be Here.
Mrs. Sue Somervell Jones, widow of former Senator James K. Jones of Arkansas, died in the Dennis Hotel, Atlantic City, early today, according to word received here. She had been in failling health for several years, and had gone to Atlantic City about six weeks ago to recuperate. She was 85 years old.
The late Senator Jones was chairman of the Democratic national committee in 1896 when William J. Bryan was first nominated for the presidency.
Mrs. Jones had lived in Washington since the early eighties, counting to this city when her husband was elected to the Forty-seventh Congress. He was subsequently elected to the Forty-eighth and Forty-ninth Congresses and afterward served three terms as United States Senator.
Long well known in Washington, Mrs. Jones was a member of the Congressional Club and had also, for many years, been a member of the Methodist Church, having belonged to the old Mount Vernon Methodist Episcopal Church.
She is survived by two stepdaughters, Mrs. Sue R. Jones and Mrs. Steve Carrigan; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. James K. Jones, jr., of Washington; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Johnson, of Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, Joseph Somervell of Marlin, Tex., and a granddaughter, Mrs. H. B. Slocum. Senator Jones died in 1908.
The body will arrive here tomorrow night. Funeral arrangements have not been completed, but interment will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones lived at 1812 Nineteenth street.
