Mr. Robert Elmore Luttrell, age 68 of Middleton, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. A native of Middleton, he was born May 25, 1946 to Elmore and Lucille Huddleston Luttrell, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1964 and attended San Diego Community College, Jackson State Community College and the University of Memphis. After high school, he worked with Otis Elevator Company in Memphis until enlisting in the US Navy from 1966-69. He returned home to Middleton in the spring of 1970 and worked with his father, Elmore, for the next 8 years as a buyer of railroad cross ties. In 1972, he married Karen Simpson of Middleton and had two children, Robert Alan Luttrell and Ryan Simpson Luttrell. Robert married Tenille Lambert and they had 3 girls, Madison, Abby, and Brooklyn and a boy, Slater. Ryan married Stacey Kennamore and has a son, Carter. In 1981 he moved to Memphis and went to work for Kemmons Wilson Companies until 2001 and then retired. He came out of retirement in 2005 to begin working part time at Fed Ex and then went to work with his son, Ryan, retiring in 2007 for health reasons. He lived in Memphis until 2011 and then moved to Covington in 2012. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and doing outdoor activities. In addition to his sons and grandchildren, survivors include a sister, Bonna Luttrell Munn and a brother, James (Dickie) Luttrell, both of Middleton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sheila Luttrell Squires and Jeannie Luttrell Hooper.
