J. R. Ashcraft, 67, was found dead in bed at his home here this morning. He apparently died from a heart attack. He was a retired farmer and had just returned from a visit to relatives in California.

He is survived by three sons, Ernest of Tull, Richard of Pine Bluff, and Arch Ashcraft of Washington, D. C.; five daughters, Mrs. Alice Harrison of Tull, Mrs. Fay Reynolds of Pine Bluff, Mrs Letha McCool of Sheridan and Mrs. Madge Norman and Mrs. Vera Hicks of Bell, California; four brothers, Jim of Tull, Arthur of Malvern and Harrison and V. A. Ashcraft; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Webb of Poyen, Mrs. Geneva Jones of Grapevine and Mrs. Della Murry of Malvern.
