Mrs. Peggy Weatherford

Funeral services for Peggy Wall Weatherford , 66, were held at 10:00 AM., Friday, March 9, 1996, from the Newton United Methodist Church. Rev. Ed Temple, Rev. J. B. Costilow and Rev. Russell LuQuire officiated. Interment was made in the Webb Funeral Home in Newton.

Mrs. Wall passed away Tuesday, March 6, 1996 at Jeff Anderson's Regional Medical Center from heart failure. Mrs. Weatherford attended Newton United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Crusaders Sunday School Class and the Merry Makers Club.

Survivors include her husband, John G. (Buddy) Weatherford, Sr. of Newton, MS.; One son, John G. (Johnny) Weatherford, Jr. and his wife Dale Gardener Weatherford of Forest, MS , two grandsons, John G. Weatherford, III and Jason Weatherford of Forest, MS.; and three sisters, Agnes Ethridge and Zada Willis of Newton, MS. and Virginia Reeves of Decatur, MS.

Pallbearers were Ray Gibson, Melvin Nicolson, Bubba (L. M.) Bonds George Nicholson, Scotty Gibson, Keith Wolfe, Rodney Putt and Bruce Dickerson. Honorary Bearers were James Cupit, Jr., David Gilbert, Jimmy Woods, Larry Bane, Willie Gaines, Clist Carpenter, Paul Spence, Mark Spense, Ted Williams and Kevin McNeal.
