Funeral Services Set Wednesday For Mrs. Lois L. Collier
Funeral rites for Mrs. Lois Lorene Collier, 59, who died Sunday in a McAlester hospital, will be Wednesday at 2 pm, in the Mills Funeral Home.
Rev. J. R. Proctor and Rev. Jerry Woods will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Harrelson, Paul Harrelson, Cecil Palmer, Bobby Hearod, Bill Austin, and Jesse Burwell.
There will be a freindship and family gathering at the Pioneer House at 620 West Kiowa Wednesday at 10 am.
Mrs. Collier, who lived at 348 West Harrison, was born February 28, 1918 in Scipio and lived in this area all of her life. She was a nurse in the McAlester hospitals.
She was a member of the North McAlester Freewill Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janus Earlene, in August of 1945 and by a brother, Homer Barlow, in December of 1976.
Survivors include her husband, E. B. Collier; four sons, Casey Don of Houston, Texas, Douglas Leon of El Paso, Texas, Ernest Paul of Houston, Texas, and Jackie Lynn of Broken Arrow; a sister, Juanita Clifton of Sacramento, California; four brothers, Casey and Joe Barlow of McAlester, Chester Barlow of Canadian Shores, Ernest Barlow of Martinez, California; a granddaughter, one grandson, eight nephews and 11 nieces.
