Myra Verna Adams Price, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, completed her mission on earth Oct, 19, 2006.
Verna was born to Olan and Mattie Bell Adams July 26, 1936, in Douglas, Ga.
Verna began a 42-year Civil Service career in 1957 at U.S. Naval Base, Norfolk, Va. and retired in 2002 at Eglin AFB, Fla. During her career, she received many distinguished service awards.
Verna loved her family more than life itself and demonstrated unconditional love through continuous unselfish acts of sacrifice. Her joy was caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren for whom no sacrifice was too great.
Verna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Verna is survived by her loving and devoted husband Clarence W. Price, married April 6, 1956; sons, Richard and wife Terry of Bountiful, Utah, Robert and wife Jolene of Nicholls, Ga., Steven and former wife Silvia of Crestview, Fla., and daughter Sandra Olson and deceased husband Jerry Oly of Crestview, Fla.; grandchildren, Angela, Michael, David, Chad, Alicia, Lance, Drake, Jacob, Stevie, Hannah and Tiffany; great grandchildren, Billy, Emily, Kaylee and Avery; mother, Mattie Bell Adams; brother, Orson Adams, both of Douglas, Ga.; and sister, Vonda Williams of St. George, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her father, Olan Adams.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Oct. 25, 2006, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will follow at 11am. Interment will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
